We are getting down and dirty. At least we have been learning dirt is to our technological lifestyle,,,as flour and eggs are to a chef.
The kids who baked dirt pies in those little light blulb ovens were ahead of the game. Dirt products are used in almost every electronic device of any consequence and have many other applications as well.
Certain components of dirt are called rare earths and it is these that are so important to the making of our " stuff ".
For those of you who are good at reading between the lines, i have pulled several links from an Australian mining company, which intentionallly and unintentionally give us a great deal of education about these materials...the wheres, and hows, and whens and ifs and if nots.
Here you go. Should be an interesting discussion...but allow yourself plenty of time for the reading, first. Oh, and try to get to these soon. When they start getting any serious traffice, the PR minded types might want them taken down.
