An Indianapolis man has been arrested for brutally killing a 16-year-old mother of one in November of 1989, when he was just 17.
Police say Rodney Denk, now 40, broke into honor student Amy Weidner's home with another assailant and the two raped and killed Ms Weidner.
A bloody palm print on the wall of Ms Weidner's bedroom belonging to Denk helped solve the 23-year-old killing.
At the time of the murder, Denk was a family friend, according to the Indy Star. He was a classmate of Amy's older brother, John-Paul, and was a frequent fixture at the house even after the murder.
